An unplanned pregnancy is stressful. Sometimes, you need a neutral third party to discuss your situation and learn your options. Let the caring advocates at Black Hills Pregnancy Center provide confidential, no-cost consultations to help you make a confident decision for your future.
What If I Don’t Want To Tell Anyone?
Being unexpectedly pregnant causes a range of emotions. From embarrassment to confusion and fear, an unplanned pregnancy is difficult to accept. We understand why you may not want to say anything.
Come and talk to us. If you need someone to help talk to your parents or your partner, we’re available for that, too. Although the initial reaction may be anger, you might be surprised at the helpfulness that comes later.
What If I’m Still In School?
Title IX protects pregnant and parenting students. Whether you’re a college or high school student, you cannot be discriminated against based on being pregnant or parenting a child.
You can continue participating in classes and extracurricular activities through Title IX. A doctor’s note can excuse absences due to your pregnancy or childbirth, and you can return to school at the same status as before your medical leave.
How Do I Decide What To Do?
Knowing how to handle your pregnancy is one of the most significant decisions you will make. No matter what you choose, your life has already been impacted. Come and talk with us about your options.
We can discuss your situation, relationships, and future together. You do not have to make this decision alone. We’re here for you.
How Do I Help a Friend Facing an Unplanned Pregnancy?
Your friend needs to know she’s not alone. With your help, she can get through this. Listen to her and find ways you can physically and emotionally support her. If she would like, have her schedule a confidential, no-cost appointment with us and join her.
